Larissa Soares: About

Hello, my name is Larissa Soares.

I'm a video editor and DSLR videographer, born and raised in Brazil currently living

in the beautiful city of Auckland.

This is my portfolio.

I have recently graduated in Audiovisual, Cinema and TV from the University (UNICESP) in Brasilia. I have worked for the past three years with audiovisual productions, wedding films and institutional videos as an video editor e DSLR videographer and currently working as a freelancer. Image is my driving passion; everything in my life is affected by it. I have a strong passion for time-lapse and night sky videos and I love to keep trying to improve my techniques making new creative videos. I get a lot of inspiration from vimeo, where I spend quit long time watching those amazing videos.

My projects have involved working as a director and editor of the documentary Le Parkour a arte do deslocamento. A selection of short videos including Katsu and Sentidos (selected for the international festival of short films in Brasilia). Video editor in documentaries including Mamulengo's which made the Festival of Brasilia in 2010. As director of photography in the short film fiction Por baixo das folhas secas that also made the festival of Brasilia in 2011. Some of my last work was the short film Pedro, as director of photography and editor.
